Prima Strings is designed for emerging string players, who are ready to take the next step in their musical journey.  It is geared toward elementary/early middle school students. 

Level: NYSSMA 2 & 3 (if unknown we will ask the music teacher)

Grades: 4-6 (any child outside of this grade level will be accepted by a case by case basis)

Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, String Bass

Prima Strings is built around three key goals to support and inspire young musicians:

   Learn the fundamentals of playing in a string ensemble, including listening, blending, and working as a team.

2. 🎻 Technical Growth
   Continue to build strong individual technique and confidence on your instrument.

3. ❤️ Love for Music
   Deepen your passion for music through meaningful experiences, exciting repertoire, and collaborative learning.

The group rehearses on Mondays at Christ United Methodist Church in Amherst, NY from 5:30 -6:30 PM from September-May.

There are 2 concerts per year. 

Tuition for the Season: $350

Tuition Covers:

• Weekly rehearsals with Emily Greetham

• 2 BPO coaching sessions per season

• Music

• Music Binder

NO Auditions-This is a teacher recommended group. All applications will be confirmed with the current music teacher, to make sure this group is a great fit for the student.
